My name is Matt Stockwell. An Australian-based photographer interested primarily in architecture photography. Studying right now however, I focus on creative forms of architecture photography — from abstract representations, documentary style, and hopefully will progress this into a commercial setting. This would entail retouching of interiors and exteriors, possibly real estate photography, and capturing works of architects and landmarks across the country.

Now about me. My passion for architecture stems from evolution of the craft, spanning back generations — from a straw house, to wooden exteriors and foundations, and into the age of modernism with skyscrapers. Growing up in the regional town I have witnessed changes in the sort (although not as dramatic). I see that each are defined by their unique qualities and convey either a mesmerising admiration or a cluttered disaster, and from it is where one can view the different stages of how architecture has come to be. Through my photographic work I seek to explore the varying details, textures, and styles in which envelope the developing world around us.
